Southland Nursing & Rehab, a 90 bed facility located at 606 Simmons St., Dublin, GA, has an excellent opportunity for a Certified Nursing Assistant. Currently hiring for 1st and 3rd shift (7a-7p, 7p-7a).

The Certified Nursing Assistant works with the LPN to provide direct care to our residents. In this role you will be responsible for providing quality care to our residents in a thoughtful and respectful manner. The care provided should honor and respect each resident we serve. You will work under the direction, instruction, and supervision of an RN or LPN.

Your duties in the role of Certified Nursing Assistant includes but not limited to:

  • Assisting residents with daily living activities such as getting out of bed, bathing, dressing, using the toilet, standing, walking, or exercising
  • Helping the patient to maintain good personal hygiene
  • Assisting in maintaining a safe and healthy environment
  • Providing routine individualized healthcare needs
  • Monitoring or reporting changes in health status
  • Maintaining records of patient care, condition, progress, or problems to report
  • Discussing observations with supervisor or case manager
  • Recording vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, or respiration rate
  • Promoting patient's mental alertness through involvement in activities of interest
  • Giving basic emotional and psychological support to the patient and family

In this position you will observe and implement care of residents in a skilled nursing setting.

You will be responsible for the continued care of our residents between shifts, perform any or all professional duties as determined by your qualifications and training. You will maintain quality resident care in compliance with established policies and procedures, resident bill of rights, and resident care policies.

You will set an example for professionals and non-professionals in areas of general hygiene and resident approach and activities.

Must be pleasant, respectful and courteous to residents, families, visitors, and fellow employees at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid Georgia Nursing Assistant certification in good standing
  • Organized with high level of attention to detail
  • Desire to work with the elderly
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality to ensure compliance with all HIPAA regulations
  • Caring and Empathetic
  • Team Player and Punctual
